A Contingency Fund Needs To Exist

You need to put 5% of your earnings into a savings account each month to act as your emergency fund. You can never touch it until you are in a big mess…and a big mess will occur. If your target is to make your bills and then earn profit, then you can work without burning out. You are able to decide how much you work, within reason. And, this is going to be good for your state of mind. Your state of mind is especially important if you are a writer because it is a very solitary profession that often comes with lots of psychological baggage.
