4 Ways To Keep Your Customers Engaged With Your Business

If you have recently started a business then you will be on the lookout for many customer engagement strategies that you can use. You may have heard that as many as 90% of businesses will fail within their first year of trading. This is very much true and usually comes down to the customer not having a very good connection with the company. Take a look below to find out how you can make your customers feel valued.

1. Entertainment

One of the first things you could do within your business is to provide your customers with TVs to watch. You may have experienced this yourself when you have been at the gym for instance. They tend to have big TVs on the wall to keep their customers and guests entertained. You could do this within your business as well through the use of loop.tv for example.

If you have a waiting room within your business then this is the perfect place for your TV. You can use it for programs, music, and advertising your brand and services.

2. User-friendly Website

When people shop online they want one thing, an easy transaction. If they don’t get this from the websites they visit then they will take their custom elsewhere. Customers do not have the time in their day to constantly search for what they want on websites.

Ideally, you should have a three-click rule when you create your website. This means that your customers should never be more than three clicks away from the page they are looking for or the product they want to buy. It isn’t just about how your website works, it is also about how it looks, and how you portray your brand.

3. Chatbots

If you don’t have it within your budget to employ a full-time customer service team then you could install a chatbot service on your website. This will be filled with knowledge and answers to any questions that may arise from customers.

You should also have links that they can provide to your customers, for instance, if they want to know how long their delivery will take. You can then have one or two people working to help these customers if the chatbot can’t help or they request to speak to a person.

4. Loyalty Schemes

Finally, if you want to start a chain of loyal customers then it may be a case of starting a loyalty scheme for your customers. This can be in the form of reward cards that they fill each time they shop with you. For example, every time they spend $10 in-store or online they get a stamp. After ten stamps you could offer them 50% off their next purchase. This is quite a popular option, and many businesses offer this option.
